The Groom

C has decided he does like grey and so he is most likely wearing a grey suit with tails, he thinks a top hat would be too much, I agree hehe  He likes the colour green and has decided he would like sage for his cravat colour and a white or silver waistcoat.  Our son and my Dad will also be wearing the same suit and cravat etc

  1. OK so now C doesn't mind not having a taiolcoat jacket and so we have ordered his and his best man's suits from a catalogue on sale, the jackets alone are reduced from £100 to £26 and so they are quality and cheaper :D My Dad has a large chest and so the jackets in the catalogue are WAY too small, therefore we have to wait for C's and best man's to arrvie, if they are happy, then go source the same COLOUR for my Dad, and then for our son, although I am unsure if he needs a jacket as it will be late August so may just have him in waistcoat and cravat, or no cravat, have to source the waistcoats, with my Dad being huge we may have to find a specialist store so they all match. However, C is wearing a differing waistcoat to the best man and my Dad so he stands out as it were, he will have a pattern, darker colour, although all the same colour cravat.

  3. OK so we don't have the suits sorted anymore as C doesn't like the grey, it is too dark to what he was wanting. So, back to square one lol

He would like a light grey colour, although sourcing a grey suit light grey, that also fits the chest size of my Dad, is finding troublesome. We are considering the Groom wearing his grey and the rest of the male wedding party wearing black, possibly, but need to look into this more.

C is going to go trying on suits asap so he can have a look at what colours suit him, suit him LOL sorry :D and also maybe what style? Suits all look the same to me tbh I am very un-educated in male attire, but if it a suit fits well, it looks good right? Despite cost? Because that's the next issue!

We cana fford to buy C's suit, that's not a problem, but we cannot afford to buy the Best Man's and my Dad's too, and so we will need to get their's mail order catalogue so we can pay monthly, or buy now pay next year (though we'd pay over the year iyswim).

A grey Groom and the other men in black? Cool? We shall see what he decides x

  4. OK all being well next week, C is going with his best man to try on suits at a local tailor/store who do good deals on suit hire. He needs to go try some suits on as they aren't something he wears regular, so he needs to see what colours and styles suit him, suit him eh, suit arrrrrr well lol

I do think we're going to have the best man and my Dad in black and C in grey, it's just what SHADE of grey to decide for him I think, but sticking with the sage/green cravat. Prince William married Catherine (Kate) today and the men had black on, Prince William wore red, so black is obviously good enough for royalty although don't think C will wear red LOL

  5. YES HE WENT WITH GREY!!! :D

C bought a gorgeous grey suit, by Ben Sherman, we decided it's impossible to buy matching father and son suits in grey, so there you go, and C loved this suit and so he went with it and we're going to buy our son a grey pair of trousers, possibly grey suit, but we're past the idea that they must MATCH PERFECTLY! C has decided on a silver scroll waistcoat and has stuck with the sage cravat, and our son has matching waistcoat and cravat.
