Ordered the rings today!!
We are getting plain platinum bands, mine is 4mm and C's is 6mm, we tried the size out in an H.Samuel store but certainly weren't paying their prices!! LOL
They should be here tuesday or wednesday it is so exciting, the rings for me are THE most important expense as we will wear them for life and they will be blessed on the day by our priest, I am so amazingly happy we have our beautiful WEDDING RINGS on the way and they are just so wonderfully special and timeless x
We have the rings !!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo we went to the High Street to get measured, we are the same size wedding ring, how mad is that, though I have big blooming fingers for a LADY lol
Anyway, I'm not someone who wears jewellry, I don't have an engagement ring, we kind of skipped that part! So, I do think before the wedding I will wear it overnight for a couple of weeks so my finger gets used to it and there's no 'shoving' it on on the BIG day :D
Anyways, they have cost us roughly £700, which to me is an AMAZING amount of money but something I will wear until I die, then pass to my daughter, it's not that much, and it is our marriage and we should have some nice quality rings to last like our marriage will :)
We got them from ebay, on the high street you are looking at 3times that cost for what we got, a 4mm and a 6mm.
My ring fits me, but it is a snug fit and I never wear rings anyway so feels quite odd and so I am going to be wearing it a bit before the day to let my finger adjust LOL We've just all seen on the Royal Wedding of Wills and Kate how Wills had a struggle getting that ring on and her fingers are lovely and slender, I have butch fingers LOL So as the date draws near I will probably sleep in it to help :)
ReplyDeleteMy fingers are quite fat and I got blisters on my hand so I am praying these two factors don't spoil my gorgeous ring!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteJust updating the ring status, not a lot to say, though I am trying to sleep in it when I can to get my finger acustomed hehe
